Beyond the Classroom

Beyond the Classroom (BtC) is a zero-credit, no cost learning experience that takes place outside the traditional classroom. It is driven by a student's interests and is flexible in time and place. Participate in a BtC learning experience Spring Semester 2019. BtC is open to all students.

Exploring Business Careers

Are you interested in a career in business? Have you thought about choosing business as a major? There are many areas of business that a person can work in. Sometimes the best path to a career is not the obvious one or it is not what you are expecting. Come define your path. Explore a variety of careers within the business field.

Wayne Kangas is a business consultant with the University of Minnesota Duluth Center for Economic Development. Prior to that he spent eight years in financial planning and worked as a registered stockbroker. He began his education at HCC where he obtained his Associate in Science degree in Business Administration before transferring to the University of Wisconsin Superior to earn a Bachelors in Business Administration degree with a concentration in marketing.
